About Simran
As a family law lawyer in Surrey, BC, Simran Bhullar understands that facing a family law matter can be overwhelming. With a compassionate approach to practicing family law, Simran is dedicated to reuniting families and helping parents regain guardianship and custody of their children. Her successful track record includes innovative legal strategy for a priority parenting application of non-biological parents. Though it is rarely granted, the court does sometimes consider this to be the best outcome, and Simran was able to make it a reality for her clients.
In the past, Simran has handled criminal and civil matters but is currently building a practice focused on family law, as well as wills and estates. Recognizing the importance of planning for life’s transitions, Simran is actively working in the nexus between family and estate law. Recent cases have shown the necessity of early estate planning for parents seeking divorce in order to ensure their children are able to remain considered as beneficiaries after remarriage. Simran aims to provide the best coverage for her clients’ long range benefit. She regularly advocates for her clients in both Provincial and Supreme Court.
Growing up in Surrey, Simran was active in basketball at LA Matheson High School. She is organizing the team at Fleetwood Family Law to do The Vancouver Sun Run. As both a University of British Columbia and an Allard School of Law graduate, she is pleased to assist clients in English and Punjabi.
